Every now and then, Bikes & Breakfast locations love to do group rides, whether it's one of our classics, Clifton to Fredericksburg, Old Town Alexandria to North Beach, Eldersburg to wherever RICK decides to go, or just a fun ride out from Virginia Beach, Poolesville, or a ride along with Steve M in the New York area. We will post information here linked to our newsletter and corresponding social pages.
This Sunday, September 6th, 2026, we will ride from the Woodbridge VRE station to the Bikes & Breakfast Palisades location. I have done this route at least a half dozen times over the last few years, sometimes just me and sometimes a dozen, and it's as fun as it is grueling. We ride the Highways of the Northeast/ Mid-Atlantic. This ride is open to all riders; we just ask that you be familiar with Highway riding. Listed are stop/ fuel/ and meeting points.
4:15 AM we depart the Woodbridge VRE Station/ Meet point
5:15 AM Entrance of the Annapolis Bay Bridge/ Meet point
6:30 AM Starbucks Delaware Memorial Bridge/ Fuel/ Meet point
7:45 AM Grover Cleveland Travel Plaza NJ Turnpike/ Fuel/ Meet point
8:45 9W Market Palisades
Key things to know: this will be a spirited ride; there are lots of tolls; add your tag to your E-ZPass or pay by plate; we will ride around NYC during the afternoon; I expect to return to the VRE at 9 PM. You are free to leave whenever; just let someone know.
