Bikes & Breakfast Clifton Heart & Soul by Opa Greg

A massive shout out to Opa Greg which I think translates to grandpa in some language; however he's the gentleman that's been taking the great pictures at Clifton, Old Town, Alexandria and a few other select Bikes & Breakfast locations that he's shown up at what he did in August 2026 at Clifton is over the top he has captured the heart and soul of Bikes & Breakfast and I'd like to share those pictures with everyone and a few comments along the way so if I offend anybody, I'm sorry, but none were meant to be taken. Just enjoy..

In May 2014, Bikes & Breakfast, Clifton was founded by John Esposito mostly to share all the antique and classic motorcycles that were in our area. It has grown into a beautiful event that reflects the heart of America during our 250th year in this all-American town of Clifton, Virginia. Thank you to the Main Street Pub; you've been there all along.

One of the highlights of Bikes & Breakfast is that we meet on Sunday mornings, when the whole family and community can enjoy it together and share our favorite motorcycles with anyone. The best part is always seeing families come out and enjoy it. Whether it's father-daughter, boyfriend-girlfriend, husband-wife, father-son, or just friends, it’s all in the family. We appreciate it and love seeing it every time we go out.

This fine gentleman has been quite a staple at a few Bikes & Breakfasts between Poolville, Clifton, Old Town, and Eldersburg. I'm sure you've seen him. The best part is that he just enjoys bringing his bikes and enjoying all the camaraderie, and we enjoy having Mr. Big Wheel at all our gatherings. So whether your bike is a custom fresh off the dealership floor, a few years in, or classic, they're all welcome, and we love to see him, so show it off.

By the way, this is me Steve some of you know me some you think that I run bikes in breakfast I don't bikes and breakfast was founded by Dale and John and I just love motorcycles and hanging out with everybody but I do wanna remind you that bikes and breakfast is run by you if you don't come out, we don't get to have a great time.

Sometimes the roll-up is the best part. Everybody's got their own style, and Greg captured some of them perfectly, so remember next time you roll in, make it special! The rollouts are even better. We always see people making new friends and acquaintances, and who knows where you're heading out to, but we know you had a great time, and it was special, and you'll meet up with them during the week at night or at the next Bikes & Breakfast location, so thank you and let’s keep it going.

Meet John Park

For many years, John's been coming to bikes and breakfast, and over the last year I hadn’t seen him and wondered where he went. Well, I had a very inspiring conversation with him in Clifton, and I want to share a little about it because we're all watching the Facebook groups, and everybody's commenting on all the bike wrecks, people making left turns, pulling out without regard, and so on in our daily rides. Well, John was a victim of one of those incidents. If I recall correctly, he got struck by a drunk driver, and he most recently finished the court appearances, and instead of taking the angry I'm a victim approach. He found a way to forgive the person who brought him and his family so much harm, and he's a better person for it; we all hope the perpetrator learned a valuable lesson. Listening to John, I believe that person did. Instead of taking the angry-victim approach, let's educate all those angry cages out there to be more aware and responsible, so we can keep enjoying every motorcycle ride as it’s meant to be day in and day out. Thanks, John. I thought about it long and hard.

OK, I've been scouring social media. I've found all kinds of groups and functions trying to recruit the ladies, usually for the wrong reasons, using them as the main draw to get people to come out for their attractions. We just see the ladies as another group of riders. Whether you're a rider, a pillion, or just drive a car to hang out with somebody you know, we're glad to have you along and enjoy the camaraderie. So yeah, please keep on coming out and enjoying our sport.

The second word in Bikes & Breakfast is breakfast! So we don't confuse everybody, let’s be clear: we gather on Sunday mornings because we're not some parking-lot event or a bike night, nor are we hanging in a bar or rushing home from work to get ready for a short ride. We gather on Sunday mornings to enjoy hearing the stories of all the above, and we usually do it over a great breakfast. All of our locations team up with some of the best all-American restaurants and small businesses we can find, and unfortunately, as times change, we may end up with a McDonald's or two. But it's still breakfast with some of the best riders out there.

Meet Brad

Brad is the founder of Bikes & Breakfast North Beach. They meet or gather on the fifth Sunday of the month, so for those who don't know, the fifth Sunday comes around every few months, and in August, we will be in North Beach to see what Brad has in store for us.

Had to Google this one

I was like oh my God what have we got here with this logo but very shortly after a quick Google search found that it's a 90s hard rock screaming club band not my type but way cool logo on a way cool bike so not to embarrass myself, it's the Sam Black Church best known for the song super Christ that's all the trivia you get from me today.

So let's end it here

Don't make our sport as vintage as some of the bikes we love. Please share Bikes & Breakfast with everybody that you know so that we can do everything in our world to keep this great sport alive and well, so for the old timers out there with the vintage; classic bikes in your garages, get them out and visit a Bikes & Breakfast near you so that all the people with their little scooters, e-bikes, beginner bikes, can hear all the great stories and learn to grow into our sport.

Not sure where he's headed, but it does look like fun! Thanks for scrolling through and below is the rest of the photo dump. Enjoy and see you in Old Town Alexandria next week for some more great photos from Greg showing the personalities of Bikes & Breakfast.
