Bikes & Breakfast Guatemala [pop up]
Bikes & Breakfast Guatemala
Starting in 2026, Bikes & Breakfast will be doing pop-up locations. These may be remote one-time spots, short-term gatherings, nightly events hosted by Bikes & Breakfast, and impromptu ride-out spots that founders and members have put together. As many of us know. I love the country of Guatemala and spend approximately two weeks there in the springtime and the falltime. Last year, I rode my Aprilia Tuareg 660 from Washington, D.C. to Antigua, 3200 miles, and I absolutely loved it on the second trip, which I just got back from. I rented a Tuareg down there and absolutely enjoyed it. So stay tuned over the next few weeks, I will have some exciting news: www.sacbemotoadv.com will be coming soon.
Easter Sunday started out absolutely spectacular in Guatemala. The first picture above is my favorite coffee shop, the Bella Vista coffee farm, right on the edge of Antigua, with great coffee and pastries. Resuming my ride to downtown through the Arco de Santa Catalina, which is a huge tourist attraction, and you can see the Agua volcano in the background. The town and tourists were celebrating the rising of Christ at the local Cathedral, before and after the church service, building these beautiful rugs in the town. I hopped on the Tuareg, explored some of the countryside, and ended up at Porto San Jose. I did make a little video. It's approximately 27 minutes long. I will add some bookmarks so you can get through it much quicker. I am boring and not a great video editor yet, but I am working on it. I am talking about some things in the town of Antigua, Guatemala. My day wrapped up on Tuareg for a sensational ride back into Antigua with friends for coffee and dessert.
